Andrew Bond is confident that he can make the step up to League football with Colchester United.
The midfielder has joined the U’s on a free transfer from Conference Premier outfit Barrow, penning a two-year contract.
He told the Gazette: “It’s a massive step up for me.
“I’ve come from a non-league team but I think I’m capable of playing at this level now.
“I’d like to think I’m full of energy and hard-working and a player who likes to get a goal now and again.
“It’s very exciting to be here and I just want to get going now.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the lads and start playing.”
