Aidy Boothroyd has drawn up a transfer hit-list.

And the Colchester United manager would like his new-look squad to be in place by the end of next month.

Boothroyd has this week made enquiries about players he would like to bring to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

He also revealed that he may add to his coaching staff, as he looks to turn the U’s into a promotion-winning club next season.

Boothroyd said: “I have a number of positions that I think we can strengthen in.

“You make sure that you go at the list and if you can’t get them, you get the next one."
