Mark Yeates has not ruled out the prospect of playing another season for Colchester United.
The skillful Tottenham Hotspur left-winger told the Evening Gazette: "I will be talking to Colchester boss Phil Parkinson in the summer and, if I'm not in Spurs' plans, and there's an option to come back, I'll jump at it."
The 21-year-old Dubliner was a key figure in the U's promotion to the Coca-Cola Championship, missing only two games the away matches at Port Vale and Yeovil in the club's historic season.
He said: "I thoroughly enjoyed my season-long loan at Layer Road and to cap it with a Coca-Cola League One runners-up medal was beyond my wildest dreams.
"When I came over from Ireland as a 16-year-old my ambition was to make my mark with Spurs and play Premiership football.
"Every kid wants to play in the Premiership and that's still my ambition."
