Daryl Murphy was the two-goal hero as Ipswich Town notched a priceless 2-0 victory at home to Cardiff City tonight.
The Sunderland loanee broke the deadlock after 18 minutes, turning in a cross by Jack Colback.
And he doubled his side's advantage just before the hour-mark, following up after Owen Garvan's scorching long-range effort was saved by David Marshall.
Marshall made two excellent saves to deny Murphy his hat-trick and also kept out efforts from Gareth McAuley and Pablo Counago.
