Star striker Kevin Lisbie wants Aidy Boothroyd to put a smile back on his face – by restoring him to the U’s starting line-up.
The on-loan Ipswich Town player has been out of action over recent weeks, following a combination of a thigh injury and then illness.
Lisbie admitted his spell on the sidelines left him miserable.
However, he has declared himself fit to start Colchester United’s televised home clash with Brighton and Hove Albion tonight.
And the hot-shot striker is eager to get back to what he does best – scoring goals.
Lisbie told the Gazette: “I’m not a happy person when I’m not playing football!"
