In with the new.
Paul Lambert has hinted that he will ring the changes at Colchester United in the New Year.
The U’s manager has given his strongest indication yet that he will be busy when the transfer window re-opens next month.
Lambert has signed five players on loan since taking over as Colchester manager in October.
However, it seems as though he is keen to reshape his U’s squad with permanent signings, in a bid to lift them up the Coca-Cola League One table.
He said: “I have a rough idea of what I want in terms of who will stay and leave and who will come in.
“Everyone is playing for their future and that’s always the case when a new manager comes in.
“Players know what goes on at a football club but the group of lads I have here have been great for me.
“It’s up to me to get players in who will do well for this football club and help the current ones drive it on.
“Some players will leave but at the minute, it’s the same group of lads.
“We won’t win every single game but in time we will get our own players in to help the players who are here.”
