U’s boss Paul Lambert has praised his players for reviving the club’s fortunes.
Colchester United travel to Northampton Town tonight in search of another Coca-Cola League One win.
The club have won two of their opening three matches under their new boss and are playing with a new-found confidence.
However, Lambert has insisted that it is his players – and not him – who deserve recognition.
Lambert told the Gazette: “I’ve come in at a time when the club is a little bit down.
“I haven’t done anything miraculous to get them going – they have done it themselves which is great.
“Their enthusiasm for the game and work ethic has been second to none.
“The lads have got a lot of confidence within themselves which is great.
“As I’ve said before, they are the most important people, along with the fans who come and watch us.”
