AS decisions go, it was a straightforward one.
Jon Walters arrived at Ipswich Town's end-of-season dinner as red-hot favourite for their coveted Player-of-the-Year Award.
And, quite rightly, he went home with not one but two accolades - being the choice of both his team-mates and the corporate boxholders and sponsors.
Walters' twin success isn't to say others in the squad haven't had impressive seasons of their own. They have.
It simply testifies that Walters has been quite sensational in his first full season at Portman Road.
A hit with the fans - the ultimate 100 per cent' grafter - the midfielder-cum-striker has contributed so much. Not least 12 goals.
And his recent return to fitness three weeks ahead of schedule can only be a major boost in the club's quest for a play-off position.
After receiving his awards he dedicated them to Town's medical staff, who steered him back to recovery after having a cartilage operation in the middle of March.
He said: "I want to dedicate them to our physio team and in particular Matt Byard and Mark Endacott.
"Their expert work has nursed me through and kept me going for most of the season.
"Without them, I wouldn't have won these awards.
"It's always an honour to receive an award but to be voted for by your fellow players makes it even more special."
