COLCHESTER United's Ladies will aim to round off an impressive season with a piece of silverware this weekend.
The U's take on Chelmsford in the Essex County Cup Final at Wivenhoe Town FC on Sunday (kick-off 3pm).
First team manager Dmitri Halajko is likely to field a mixture of first-team and reserve team players in the fixture, which will see two of the county's biggest ladies teams go head to head.
He told the Gazette: "We've been playing our younger players in the competition this season and they have got us to the final so they deserve their opportunity again.
"Chelmsford are a few leagues below us but they have been established for years and they have won it before.
fantastic "But we've never won this competition so for our young team to win it would be fantastic for the club."
