Chelmsford Chieftains' Ice Hockey Premier League season ended on a low as they were beaten 10-6 by the Tigers at Telford.
And 24 hours later the two sides met again at Riverside Ice and Leisure with the Tigers coming out as victors once again.
The Chieftains started well and were 3-0 up after 34 minutes.
But the visitors clawed their way back to lead 5-4 going into the final two minutes.
Chieftains equalised to make it 5-5 with just 37 seconds of the game remaining.
But the game had a final twist when Telford made it a double over the Chieftains, scoring with just five seconds of the game remaining, just as the fans were preparing for the game going into overtime.
It was a disappointing end to an exciting campaign as now the management begin to prepare for next season.
