DOMINIC Schils headed a contingent of local riders competing in the Diss and District Cyclo Cross race at Redgrave.
With wind and rain turning the course into a gluepot, the Interbike rider took the fastest youth award, finishing overall seventh.
Winner was Nathan Miller of the 53/12 club, who came home one minute and 22 seconds ahead of Shaun Aldous (Interbike).
Other locals included ex-Colchester Rovers Ben Paton (14th), Stuart Chatting (17th) and David West (24th).
Amongst the current Rovers, David Triggs was 36th, Ciaran Baynes 42nd and Chris Cowan (46th). Neil Pears was among six non-finishers.
Ellen Triggs was the fastest girl in the Under-16's race, while 11 year old Luke Bagley, punching above his weight, came home 13th.
