COLCHESTER United have reacted cautiously to claims by Norwich City manager Glenn Roeder that he was verbally abused by a minority of home supporters during last weekend's game between the two clubs.
Roeder was quoted as saying that he was the victim of terrible' abuse from certain elements of the U's support, who he described as saddos' and low lives', as he watched the East Anglian derby from the dugout at Layer Road.
Colchester United chief executive Marie Partner has said that the club do not condone such abuse from supporters.
However, she has stated that the U's were not aware of any such incident involving the Norwich boss.
