Each weekend brings new pressure for Colchester and East Essex Cricket Club.

Still buried in the relegation mire, the Castle Park side cannot afford to slip up.

If they do, relegation will become a stark reality, instead of a looming threat.

Tomorrow sees them take on Saffron Walden at Castle Park, with Colchester naming an unchanged side from last week's win over Ilford.

This means Essex's Graham Napier is once again in line to be the talisman in a side which has stuttered, stumbled, and lurched its way to the lower end of the premier division table this season.

Napier didn't have great success in last week's victory, scoring 22 and taking one wicket.

But skipper Andrew Kennedy said just having him in the side is a massive help.

"He gives everyone else a bit of confidence as we all know he can change a game in an instant with either his bowling, or his destructive batting," said Kennedy.
