It's finally here.
After one of the most eventful summers in the club's history, Colchester United are about to embark on another season of Coca-Cola Championship football.
Tomorrow, a much-changed U's squad travel to Sheffield United, relegated from the Barclays Premier League last season, as the Championship season gets under way again.
And Colchester manager Geraint Williams cannot wait to see his new-look side run out at Bramall Lane.
He told the Gazette: "We have a great match to look forward to and it's probably one of the best games in the division tomorrow.
"There'll be a 30,000 crowd and, in James Beattie, they've just signed a £4 million striker. It's fantastic.
"We know it will be tough - but we'll go there and be positive.
"We'll look to keep a clean sheet and take our chances when they come. If we do that, then we can get a result."
