Frinton's senior golfers celebrated a spectacular win in the six-club tournament for the Britvic Trophy.
Seniors captain Ron King led his 16-man team to victory with a 16-point margin over runners-up and holders Colchester.
After thunderstorms had been forecast, the weather was fine and dry with not too much wind.
Meanwhile, junior golfers at Frinton turned out in lovely sunny weather to compete for the Summers Cup.
A brisk breeze greeted contestants and the first player home, with a sub-par round, was junior captain Daniel Pritchard, with 37 stableford points.
However, leading the way with 39 points was six-handicapper, 14-year-old Matthew McAuley.
Other notable scores came from Brad Harris (34 points) and Louise Taggart (33).
