HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS held their nerve to win a thrilling penalty shoot-out against WIVENHOE TOWN, in tonight's Essex Senior Cup tie at the Maple Tree Cars Stadium.
They defeated the Dragons 7-6, after the third-round tie finished 2-2.
Adam Hampson gave Wivenhoe a half-time lead, heading in Hasan Ayten's corner.
But Heybridge netted twice at the start of the second half through substitute Jack Bonham and George Doyle.
Wivenhoe then levelled two minutes from time, through Andy Schofield.
But it was Heybridge who eventually progressed after penalties to book their place in the last 16.
