Southend United's Kevin Maher has played down tomorrow's rematch with Colchester United captain Karl Duguid.
The Shrimpers skipper was angered by the U's midfielder's antics which led to him being shown a soft red card at Layer Road back in November.
But, despite labelling Duguid both a 'cheat' and a 'disgrace' at the time, Maher is not seeking revenge when the duo go head to head once again.
And he is instead fully focused on securing a much-needed win for his relegation-threatened side.
"Whatever happened has happened now," said Maher.
"I had my say at the time and although I still have opinions on what went on it won't matter tomorrow.
"We need to win the game to improve our position in the table and that's all that matters to me to be honest."
