Colchester United's loanee Hogan Ephraim has been named in the England under-19 squad to play Turkey in a friendly next month.

The 18-year-old attacker, who is on loan at Layer Road from Premiership strugglers West Ham United until the end of the season, will hope to play some part in the game at Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium, on March 21.

Ephraim came on as a half-time substitute in England under-19s' last game, a 4-1 victory over Poland in front of a sell-out crowd at Bournemouth's Fitness First Stadium.

He recently scored his first senior goal when he netted the U's third in their comprehensive 3-0 triumph over Barnsley, in the Coca-Cola Championship.
