Jaime Peters plans to do 'everything possible' to cement his place in Ipswich Town's team for their match against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
The midfielder was a surprising omission from the starting line-up for last week's 1-0 defeat at Southampton in the Coca-Cola Championship.
Although he came on in the second half, it was a shock decision to axe him from the original team.
Nevertheless, Peters was philosophical rather than resentful about manager Jim Magilton's decision and told the Evening Gazette: "I guess the gaffer wanted to rest me.
"These things happen and I understand that.
"From my point of view, the aim now is to do everything possible to get back in on Saturday.
"I'll be working hard in training to make sure I'm ready and available for selection."
