Colchester United have been given until the end of the calendar year to upgrade their indoor facilities in order to meet Category Two guidelines.
The U’s were told last week their indoor facility at Warrior’s Rest in Tiptree does not currently meet all of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) criteria.
They have been told that they need to improve the surface at the venue by December 31, in order to comply with the guidelines.
U’s chairman Robbie Cowling told the Daily Gazette: “We’re confident that we’ll be able to do it and we’re very determined."
Securing Category Two status is a "massive step forward for Colchester United" - see Friday's Daily Gazette for more and all of the latest U's news.
