A bitter pill to swallow.

Colchester United defender Ryan Dickson admitted the controversial manner of his side’s 2-1 home defeat against Preston North End was tough to take.

The U’s felt that Preston’s late winner should not have stood after Joe Garner was in an offside position when he picked out Chris Humphrey, in the build-up to Brian Wilson’s own goal.
