Colchester United manager Geraint Williams labelled Richard Garcia 'explosive' after the second-half substitute inspired the U's to victory at Selhurst Park.
The Australian, who had been sidelined for six weeks because of an ankle injury, scored one goal and made another, as Colchester saw off Crystal Palace 3-1 in the Coca-Cola Championship.
Garcia's timely contribution certainly vindicated Williams' bold decision to send him on for Johnnie Jackson on the hour mark, with the match delicately poised at 0-0.
However, Williams always knew the former West Ham United man had the potential to be a match-winner.
He said: "Richard has something explosive about his game."
