Welsh soccer idol Ian Rush believes Colchester United may have unearthed a 'great manager' in his former international team-mate Geraint Williams.
The legendary 45-year-old ex-Liverpool and Juventus striker said, when speaking exclusively to the Evening Gazette: "I'm not at all surprised to see Geraint doing so well.
"He has always been a hard worker and he was a good organiser when we were international team-mates.
"Geraint is clearly cut out to be a coach and a manager.
"What he has achieved with Colchester this season after a poor start (he has guided the U's into seventh spot in the Coca-Cola Championship) is simply phenomenal."
