IPSWICH Town boss Jim Magilton admitted it was a bitter pill to swallow' after seeing his side undone by Chris McCann's last-minute winner for Burnley.
Town deserved something from the game, but the cruel ending left Magilton cursing his team's failure to take home any points from their trip to Lancashire.
He said: "You deserve to be punished if you switch off in the last minute.
"It was a great cross, a great goal, but poor marking. We have worked our socks off this week and the two centre-halves did really well here.
"We nullified a lot of their threat and, during the first 25 minutes, we passed the ball well, but maybe lacked a cutting edge."
