Hundreds of people lined the streets of Burnham to watch a grand illuminated procession.
The annual Burnham carnival wound its way around the town on Saturday night as the highlight of a day which included stalls and entertainment.
Music was provided by the Epping Forest Pipe Band as the Carnival Queen and her court and various colourful floats passed by.
Indian dancers, majorette troupes, Scouts and many others in fancy dress took part in the procession.
