Ambulance crews took a casualty to hospital after a car overturned in Mayland today.
The ambulance service received a call at 12.24pm to a report of a car on its roof and a patient inside in Southminster Road, Mayland.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "An ambulance crew attended to treat one patient who was out of the vehicle before their arrival.
"They were taken to Broomfield Hospital for further treatment."
According to the Essex Traffic Control Centre, the crash happened outside Moat House Farm.
The road was blocked in both ways following the crash and is still closed for the recovery of the car and because of a fuel spillage, according to the control centre.
