Thousands of adventurous foodies packed into the grounds of Rook Hall in Heybridge at the weekend.
The Great Wild Food and Chilli Fair showcased raw food, from colourful fresh juices and smoothies, to exotic organic fruits.
Visitors were able to learn about different uses for superfoods, watch chefs preparing raw foods live, listen to talks and participate in workshops.
For children there were fun cookery classes, outdoors learning on foraging for wild foods, campfire cooking, elf-house building, wand carving and storytelling.
Organiser Ashley Peniston-Bird said: “It went very well. The rain didn’t help but it was a really good crowd.
“They went out, got their brollies and came back in.”
