The manager of the cafe at Maldon's St Peter's Hospital has donated £1,000 to a much-loved Burnham charity.
Laughlin Whiteley, known as "Lockey", fought a brain tumour and acute myeloid leukaemia, before dying aged seven, last October.
Julie Taylor, manager of the Cafe, at St Peter's Hospital, Maldon, nominated the Unlock a Life for Lockey charity for money from health and social care company Provide's Community Funding Scheme.
The charity helps improve the lives of other cancer-stricken children.
Lockey's grandfather, Ray, gave "heartfelt" thanks to Provide and Julie.
