Residents are on high alert after their neighbourhood was blitzed by burglars.
Three hooded people, believed to be using crowbars, targeted several properties in the space of just two hours in Mayland.
In one break in, the carer of a disabled widow woke to find a burglar standing in her bedroom.
Another neighbour, Linda Haywood, 51, was also a victim.
She said: “It’s awful.
“Everyone should be aware of what’s happened."
