Police are requesting owners ensure their vehicles are locked at all times with no valuables left on view after a string of vehicle crimes.
Four vehicles were broken into within two days last week, between September 2 and September 4.
In the early hours of last Tuesday morning, between 4am and 4.18am, entry was gained to a white Range Rover, parked in Meeson Meadows, Maldon.
No damage was caused and nothing was stolen.
Overnight, between 6pm on last Tuesday evening and 6.45am last Wednesday morning, half a tank of fuel was removed from a secure white Ford Fiesta saloon, parked on a Latchingdon driveway.
The car was in The Street and £30 worth of fuel was removed.
Between 9.45pm last Wednesday and 8.45am last Thursday entry was gained to a blue Ford SportKA and a handbag was removed.
The car had been secured on Spencer Close, Maldon, when it was broken into.
No damage was caused but the handbag and contents were valued at £25.
A red Citreon C5 had it’s rear windscreen smashed by a golfball last Thursday.
The incident happened between 4.30-5pm at Sceptre Close, Tollesbury.
Nothing was stolen from the vehicle but the smashed windscreen caused £50 worth of damage.
