Pub landlords have stuck their oar in to buy a new rowing boat for a group of sea cadets.
Maldon Licensed Victuallars Association bought the Trinity 500 for Maldon Sea Cadets, based in the town’s Tip Road.
Richie Miller, Maldon Town Sergeant-at-Mace and honorary LVA member, nominated the youngsters in recognition of their outstanding involvement in local events.
The presentation took place at Maylandsea Marina, after 27 cadets completed three days of activities and practical sailing qualifications.
