A PARTY'S first music quiz of the year is booked in the diary for next week.
The Harwich Branch Labour Party music quiz is taking place on Monday, January 22, from 8pm at the Royal Oak pub, in Dovercourt.
The event is being held in aid of Harwich Brand Labour Party.
The quizzes, which are compiled by Lyndsey and Garry Calver, consist of 100 pieces of music ranging from the 1960s to the present day.
All the teams will have to do is identify the artist they are hearing.
Garry Calver said: "Our music quiz nights are a lot of fun as, even if teams cannot remember the artist, they usually know the song and sing along.
"The quiz will include music for most tastes although if your thing is Gregorian chant or opera then it may not be for you."
The quiz is for teams of up to six people at £2 per head and there is no need to book a table in advance.
