BRAZEN thieves have ripped a cash machine out of a wall in a raid in Manningtree which has damaged cars. 

The ATM in Brook Street has been pulled from the wall leaving a gaping hole in the building.

Luke Smith, 30, of Railway Street, said he believes that nobody was hurt during the raid, but said cars had been damaged along the road. 

He also believed the incident happened between 3am and 4am in the early hours of this morning.

Mr Smith said: "I live right near to where a Porsche was written off during the raid.

“There needs to be more police in Manningtree patrolling at these times of the morning.

"I think the town is targeted for that particular reason and this is not the only incident to happen here as other small business have been targeted before."
