A SCHEME to build a new house in the side garden of a listed building in Wrabness has been given the go ahead.
Tendring Council has approved planning permission for the land at Wrabness Hall in Church Road for Major Ben Acton.
The hall is a Grade II listed property and the new house will have four bedrooms and be set back in the site behind a garden wall.
The council decided that it is a sustainable development and there were no objections from Essex County Council as the highways authority.
Wrabness Parish Council did object to the proposal and Tendring Council also received four letters of support.
