A SCHOOL summer fete has raised more than £1,000 for transport costs and school visits.
Wix and Wrabness Primary School held its fayre on Saturday with a host of activities, including water stocks, where children got the chance to pelt teachers with wet sponges.
The afternoon concluded with a spectacular balloon race as dozens were released into the sky.
A school spokesman said: “Thanks to everyone who supported us, including Bounce Harwich, East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Craft Nurseries, Wix Fayre Committee, Warnes of Parkeston, The Crown Post Harwich, Lisa Jane Hair Salon and The Cross Inn.”
