AN extra £8,000 has been put towards work to transform a seafront tourist attraction.
Harwich Town Council voted to increase the budget for the redevelopment of the Putting Green, in Lower Marine Parade, Dovercourt at its latest meeting on Wednesday.
The council will be footing the bill, but will recoup the money from developers’ contributions to the town as part of planning permissions.
The investment will now be up to £38,000 and work begins on Monday.
