A KIND-HEARTED couple have given £75,000 to Harwich RNLI in an astounding act of generosity.
Trish and David Leggett, donated the cash after a family member died and left the couple some money.
Harwich RNLI had previously helped Trish scatter the ashes of her parents.
Trish and David, from Ipswich, also donated money to Ramsgate and Aldeburgh RNLIs.
The couple handed over the cheque at the Harwich lifeboat station on Wednesday Coxswain Paul Smith said: “At the moment the money will be used for crew equipment and training and other things to do with Harwich lifeboat station."
