A BLIND author is basing her books in Harwich - despite only having distant memories of what it looks like.
June Bretherton, 70, has set several of her books on the town after holidaying there as a child.
She was born partially sighted and became totally blind almost 30 years ago.
June only started writing after moving to Harwich in 2009.
"It is one of the few places I have come across where very little has changed so I can still remember some of the things visually, like the lighthouses," she said.
Her latest novel - 'The Potential' - is a full-length murder-mystery.
June will be signing copies at Lovely Little Bits shop, Church Street, on May 11 from 11am to 1pm.
