Year Six pupils started the new school year with an action-packed week away.
The youngsters at St Andrew’s School, in Halstead, enjoyed seven hours of fun activities including climbing, abseiling, kayaking and archery at the PGL centre in Lincolnshire last week.
The children were encouraged to set goals to meet or even exceed and they completed the week with a disco on Thursday evening.
Headteacher, Bridgettee Gough, said: "The outdoor and adventurous nature of the activities allows our pupils to push themselves and take calculated risks in ways we could never provide on-site - certainly a character building experience.
“We feel this is an excellent way to start Year Six and build great relationships between the staff and pupils.
“The children had an amazing time and their PGL site group leader praised them on both their politeness and behaviour.
“They've made St Andrew's very proud."
