The family of a man who had acid thrown in his face in a case of mistaken identity have been left devastated.
Wayne Ingold, 56, was collecting his post from the communal entrance at flats in Bramble Road, Witham when he was attacked.
Mr Ingold, who was not the intended target, suffered what police have called life-changing injuries to his face and hands.
Son James, 29, said: “The family are in pieces at the moment.”
