A teenager died in a two-car road crash late last night.
The 17-year-old girl, from Colchester, died when the car she was in was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Mersea Road, Colchester.
She was travelling in the back of a green Subaru Impreza car when it was involved in a collision with a VW Passat, being driven by a 70-year-old local man at 10.50pm.
A 20-year-old Colchester man, driving the Subaru towards the town centre, was taken to Colchester General Hospital with an 18-year-old man, also from Colchester. The driver was still being treated this morning.
