TWO people shouted abuse at a woman before pushing her to the ground at a supermarket car park in Witham.
Officers were called to Asda, in Highfields Road, following reports of a disturbance.
The incident happened at about 4.50pm on Monday, April 16.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We are appealing for information following a disturbance in supermarket car park.
"We were called to reports that two people had shouted words of abuse to a woman outside Asda before pushing her to the floor.
"They then chased a man, aged in his 20s, around the car park before we arrived at the scene.
"We arrested a 17-year-old boy from Maldon on suspicion of affray and an 18-year-old boy from Witham on suspicion of assault."
They have been released on bail until Sunday, May 13.
Police said there were a number of shoppers in the area during the disturbance and that they are being urge them to contact Braintree police station.
