A NEW open garden for children has been unveiled in Colchester.
It was paid for by CarillionAmey, a company specialising in Army housing services.
It was officially opened by deputy mayor Gerard Oxford yesterday.
CarillionAmey supervisor Natasha Woolley said: “It went really well.
“We had about 50 people here.
“We wanted somewhere for young children to go .
“We have a play park but this is an educational nature garden.
“We wanted to give something to the community.”
It will be aimed at children aged two to seven but is available to all children.
It has been opened opposite Montgomery Infant School in Baronswood Way, Colchester.
