A TEENAGE entrepreneur has opened a new shop in Frinton’s famous Connaught Avenue.
Amber Bruce, 17, opened new gift shop Spinning Strawberry last week.
She created the business straight after leaving sixth form at Tendring Technology College.
Amber said: “I did my first year of a-levels, but it wasn’t really for me.
“I have always really wanted to own my own shop, so when the opportunity came up I just went for it.
“I haven’t been open very long but it has been really good so far, and the shop has been really busy. It’s exactly what I was hoping for."
“I think it’s really important for new shops to keep opening up and for businesses to support each other.
“New businesses will only help the area because it will get more people coming to the area and looking at Connaught Avenue, and that will help everybody.
