A CHIP shop full of clowns got customer reaching into their pockets and chipping in for Children in Need.
Staff at Youngs Other Plaice in Frinton donned wigs, wacky trousers and make-up all day to help raise cash for the children's charity.
The event was organised by Richard Boughey, but all the staff got in on the dressing up action, and they raised £1200.
Staff member Mike Webber said: “It went really well. We raised money for about three weeks and beat last year's total.
“I think it is something to be proud of, as it is all for a good cause, and there are a lot of kids who need help.
“It was also fun for us, and it certainly livened up the workplace.”
