A FLOWER society is busy organising an annual open garden event ready for the summer months.
Walton in Bloom is making plans for the garden event on the weekend of Saturday, June 23.
It is on the hunt for volunteers to provide spring and summer flowers and public seating throughout the town.
The event is free to take part in and visitors can buy single tickets which gives access to all of the gardens taking part.
Walton in Bloom chairman Greg Lashmar said: “We are looking for all types of gardens large or small, front or back or both.
“They can be formal or informal or quirky – we really do not mind.
“Please don’t assume your garden isn’t up to scratch – we make no judgement.”
He added: “All that we ask is that you open your garden for at least one day, perhaps sell tickets and enjoy yourself.”
Anyone interested in taking part can do so by visiting waltoninbloom.org for further information and a registration form.
