POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was robbed, punched and sprayed in the face with an 'unknown substance'.
A woman in her 30's was withdrawing money from the cash machine on Magdalen Road Clacton at around 12.15am this morning.
She was then approached by a man and a woman.
The woman then proceeded to spray the victim in the face with an unknown substance and demanded money.
Both the man and the woman then punched the victim in the face and made off in a small red hatchback car.
The victim was treated by paramedics and there is nothing to indicate the substance she was sprayed with was acid.
