HUGE banners and placards have been put up by residents to boost their battle against major housing plans – but one has already been cut down and stolen.
The banners, which say “No mass housing in Kirby le Soken or Kirby Cross”, have been put up at the entrances to the villages.
They are designed to show the strength of feeling against huge housing bids which have been launched by developers.
But one banner, which had been put up on the Frinton side of Kirby Cross, was cut down and stolen by vandals overnight between Monday and Tuesday – just days after being put up.
