A mother and daughter are hosting a Christmas fair to raise cash for a charity close to their hearts.

Kylie Carter and daughter Summer have organised the event at Kelvedon Institute, in Kelvedon High Street, on Sunday, December 10.

The funds raised from the fair will be donated to Asthma UK as Summer suffers from severe brittle asthma.

Mrs Carter said: "She has suffered since birth and has frequent hospital admissions and suffering.

"It was during a hospital admission on July that we decided to turn it into a positive for her and we chose to start fundraising for the worthy Asthma UK.

"This enables Summer to know there are other people out there who suffers the way she does and she is helping them by raising money."

There will be festive stalls, food, drink, kids games and Santa will be making an appearance on the day.

The event opens at noon and runs until 4pm. Admission is free of charge.
