Kindhearted volunteers have won awards for making a positive difference to healthcare in the area.
The Marvel of Mid Awards ceremony took place last Thursday and was hosted by organisers, the Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group at Chelmsford City Football Club.
The awards are designed to thank volunteers throughout mid Essex who make a difference when it comes to healthcare.
Among the 11 different winners were volunteers from Witham and the Braintree area.
Val Thompstone from Greenfields Community Housing claimed the Connect Well Award, whilst Marian Redding from Fern House Surgery took the Individual Patient Participation Award.
Dr Caroline Dollery, Chair of Mid Essex CCG, said: "Huge congratulations go to all our winners, highly commended finalists and all of our nominees.
"These awards recognise the efforts and achievements of people who help mid Essex residents to live well, often without thought of thanks or reward.
"I know the judging panel had a difficult time selecting this year’s winners given the high quality of the all the nominations."
